Social entrepreneurship can be defined as a process by which we recognize, and afterward, we resourcefully try to find solutions in order to create social value. Reading the chapter on social entrepreneurship, we better understand what social entrepreneurship is really about. All the industrial and technological advancements are growing at high speed. There are a lot of threats to the environment, and as a result, the global economy is in danger. There are still many conflicts worldwide and new diseases that have come up in the past couple of years. The government and other institutions have tried to capture and find solutions to this matter. However, it has been proven that they have not succeeded in saving the world because there needs to be change in society first.
Nevertheless, our hope relies on socially motivated people who are also highly empowered to fight the changes in how we live, think, and act toward our environment and all the other situations we mentioned earlier. Social entrepreneurs have the talent and skill to solve these problems. In other words, they are empowered to change the world for the better. Social entrepreneurs have appeared to be more successful because they operate in a free market, and their success is measured in the improvement of lives and not just money.
